Get to know Allah (SWT).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Allah is a proper name belonging only to the one Almighty God, Creator and Sustainer of the heavens and the earth and all that is within them, the Eternal and Absolute, to whom alone all worship is due.<\/sup><\/p>Footnote (Quran 1:1), Saheeh International<\/a><\/cite><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

There are many ways we can familiarize ourselves with The Almighty Allah (swt). But, one of the great ways we can get to know Allah (swt) is through his 99 beautiful names.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For example, Ar Rahman and Ar Raheem are just two of the 99 names. However, when we go deeper into their meaning this is when we get even a better understanding of who is Allah (SWT) as illustrated below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ar-Ra\u1e25m\u0101n and ar-Ra\u1e25eem are two names of Allah derived from the word “ra\u1e25mah” (mercy) . In Arabic grammar both are intensive forms of “merciful” (i.e., extremely merciful) . A complimentary and comprehensive meaning is intended by using both together. Ra\u1e25m\u0101n is used only to describe Allah, while ra\u1e25eem might be used to describe a person as well. The Prophet (\ufdfa) was described in the Qur\u2019\u0101n as ra\u1e25eem. Ra\u1e25m\u0101n is above the human level (i.e., intensely merciful) . Since one usually understands intensity to be something of short duration, Allah describes Himself also as ra\u1e25eem (i.e., continually merciful) . Ra\u1e25m\u0101n also carries a wider meaning – merciful to all creation. Justice is a part of this mercy. Ra\u1e25eem includes the concept of speciality – especially and specifically merciful to the believers. Forgiveness is a part of this mercy. In addition, Ra\u1e25m\u0101n is adjectival, referring to an attribute of Allah and is part of His essence. Ra\u1e25eem is verbal, indicating what He does: i.e., bestowing and implementing mercy.<\/p>Footnote (Quran 1:1), Saheeh International<\/a><\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These beautiful 99 names not only serve as a beautiful way to get to know Allah (SWT), but also as a way to enter paradise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As stated in a hadith,<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Narrated Abu Huraira:<\/p>

Allah’s Messenger (\ufdfa) said, “Allah has ninety-nine names, i.e. one-hundred minus one, and whoever knows them will go to Paradise.” (Please see Hadith No. 419 Vol. 8)<\/p>Sahih al-Bukhari 2736<\/a><\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

So, everyone should try their best to remember or even memorize these 99 names of Allah (swt)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Further on, when we are making dua to Allah (swt), or calling him,we should call him by his beautiful names.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As stated in the Quran,<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAnd (all) the Most Beautiful Names belong to All\u00e2h, so call on Him by them, \u2026\u2026..\u201d
